Meet the Crew
Stacey Vaughan - Teacher
Hey Guy's and Gal's! Here is some brief information on who I am and what I hope to accomplish!
I have a unique teaching style, which I hope to involve all you Jive superstars in! Whether you want to learn moves for the dance floor freestyles or if you are going for the competitions!
I have been dancing since I was just 2 and a half and I have awards in Tap Ballet, Modern Jazz, Acrobatics and a National award in Contemporary dance.
I also have various compitiion titles:-
Modern Jive Youth: - 1st place 2008
UK National Blues (2007 - 2009): - 1st place
Various competition finalists
I love dancing and feel I have much to share with you all. I hope to see you at the classes and hope you find Modern Jive as enjoyable as I do.
I found Jive through my mum. One day my mum saw Jive lessons advertised and dragged me along because my dad couldn't make it, ever since that day I have been addicted.
I also do other styles of partner dances such as; Rock 'n' Roll, Salsa and West Coast Swing. I have been dancing Modern Jive for 8 years.
Lionel Murphy - Demo and Teacher
Lionel has been with us since the start! He is a valid member of the team and has been dancing Jive many years. He is always happy to help and enjoys helping others to enjoy Jive as much as he does.
Sue Vaughan - Front Desk and Floor crew
Sue has also been with us since the beginning. Sue will be the first person to greet you at Atlantic Jive on the front desk. She also provides support during lesson and is a very very keen Jiver!
Kate Murphy - Demo and Floor crew
Kate has many years of experience in the Jve world. When needed she helpd Demo on stage and is always on hand during lessons to help. Kate will also take small beginner classes when needed whilst the Intermedaites is on, this is for any first timers.
Helen Murphy - Demo and Floor crew
Helen has been learning modern jive since 2000, she caught the jive bug in Cambridge after attending a class with a housemate.
Carey Rawlings - Demo and Floor Crew
Carey is one of the newest members of our team. He has been a Jive addict for the past 10 years and knows more Jive moves than anyone I know. Carey loves showing people new moves and helping beginners.
Anne Hackett - Floor Crew
Anne has also recently become crew. She started dancing Jive the same day as Stacey and Carey and is rarely seen off the dance floor.
